Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Who do you work with?

I work with adults, with a special focus on supporting women.

Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, or simply the stress of balancing so many roles at once.

My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can breathe, reflect, and grow.

2. Do you offer online therapy? What do I need for sessions?

Yes — all of my sessions are offered online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

To help keep our time safe and private, please:

  • Use a browser that supports the platform.

  • Find a quiet, private space where others won’t overhear.

  • Avoid driving or multitasking during your session.

  • Use headphones if you’re in a shared space to protect confidentiality.

3. How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful whether you’re facing a major challenge or simply feeling “off” and wanting support.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, depressed, or just in need of a place to process, therapy can help you gain clarity and tools to move forward.

4. What happens during the first session?

The first session is about getting to know you.

We’ll talk about what brought you here, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

We’ll also go over confidentiality, scheduling, and what our work together might look like.

There’s no pressure to share everything all at once — we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

5. How long are sessions, and what are your fees? Do you take insurance?

6. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Life happens. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

This allows me to offer the time to another client. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged a fee.

7. Is therapy confidential?

Yes — confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy.

What you share stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or cases of abuse/neglect).

I’ll explain all of this in detail during your first session so you feel clear and safe.

8. What if I’m in crisis or need immediate help?

My practice is not designed for emergencies.

If you are ever in crisis, please:

  • Call 911 if you are in immediate danger.

  • Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (U.S.).

  • Visit your nearest emergency room.

You deserve immediate, safe support in a crisis.

9. What if I’m unsure if we’re a good fit?

That’s completely normal. The connection between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of the process.

If you’re unsure, let’s talk about it in session — and if needed, I’ll help you find a therapist who might be a better fit.

10. Can therapy be combined with other self-care practices?

Yes!

Many women find that therapy works beautifully alongside practices like journaling, mindfulness, meditation, gardening, movement, or creative outlets.

These practices can deepen the work we do together and help you feel more grounded between sessions.
