Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected cost of your mental health services. This law requires health care providers to give clients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical or mental health services.

What This Means for You

  • If you are self-pay (not using insurance), you will receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before your first scheduled session.

  • The estimate will include the expected cost of services, based on the fees discussed at intake.

  • You may also request a Good Faith Estimate at any time before scheduling a session.

Session Rates

  • Self-pay sessions: $140 per 55-minute session

  • Insurance: I am in-network with Cigna, Florida Blue, Aetna, United Healthcare, and other plans. If you are using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost (such as a copay or deductible) will depend on your plan. Please contact your insurance provider directly to confirm coverage.

Your Rights

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency items or services.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
